Primary School

Junior Basic Schools - Unit- I, Unit- II, Unit- III, and Unit- IV

Quality Education should start from the very beginning of one's childhood. It is true that children start learning at their home first and then they go to their second home at the school. In the first half of the 20th century, number of primary schools was very few in rural Bengal the then parents were not sensible enough to send their kids to the school. As per the local need first two nursery schools were established. And Primary was separated from two schools– Sikshamandir and Saradamandira. Then a Junior Basic School on 23 September 1949. The demand for more primary school was increasing. As a result, the second unit of Junior Basic School established in 1951. The people understood the utility of education need of the children and to cope up with the growing demand of the local people more two units - Unit- III & Unit - IV came into existence in 1958 and in 1964 respectively.  5 to 6 well trained teachers with the Headmistress in each unit are devoting their best services for the education of the children. All the units   follow joyful and play way methods for imparting education to the young stars.  Along with the formal education emphasis has been given on aptitude development of   the children on cleanliness, moral values, discipline, feeling of oneness etc. Crafts like clay modeling, paper cutting, drawing, painting etc. which are the special attraction   to the children. These Junior Basic schools are being the laboratory of practice teaching of the Teachers' Training Institutes of the Ashrama. Separate libraries are   running in each units having 665, 1126, 1865 and 383 books in units -I, II, III and IV respectively.
